Tarangau Retreat
Tarangau Retreat is a private coastal retreat set on four and a half acres of gardens, a short walk from the soft sand of Bofa Beach. Built in traditional Swahili style, its open-plan spaces invite the coastal breeze inside, so indoors and outdoors flow into one another. Choose from two places to stay, or reserve the entire retreat.
The Main House
Four bedrooms, each with its own ensuite, plus a reading lounge and a veranda overlooking the pool and garden. The house is fully staffed, with fully catered or self-catered stays, and a rooftop deck for sunrise yoga, sundowners or a night under the stars. It sleeps eight, or ten with the Garden Cottage.
The Garden Cottage
A one-bedroom cottage set within the gardens, offering a seamless blend of indoor and outdoor living. Floor-to-ceiling cedar louvres open onto a picturesque expanse of lush gardens, providing a cocoon of serenity and seclusion.

With direct access to the Indian Ocean's pristine coastline, Tribe Beach House is a luxurious, secluded haven.

Rooted in Kilifi
Both of our coastal stays are shaped by care for the land and the people around them, with meals made from fresh local produce and the daily catch of Kilifi’s fishermen. At Tarangau, solar power heats the water, rainwater feeds the gardens, organic waste is composted back into the soil and many of the furnishings are crafted by Kilifi artisans.
